Healthcare complex Flora
The project
This new residential care centre in Almere's Hortus district has 130 homes for people with dementia. The complex is located on the Floriade site.
The challenge
The project was prepared entirely in BIM. Gebr. Bodegraven was therefore asked to determine the exact position of the anchor points for the window frames in the preparation phase, including the location of the drill holes for the fasteners.
The solution
Gebr Bodegraven's 3D anchor models were incorporated into the project's BIM environment, in consultation and cooperation with main contractor Dura Vermeer Bouw Hengelo. The project engineering for the anchor work by Gebr. Bodegraven used the GB Calculation Tool to easily determine the correct corner anchors and mounting points.
The preparatory work in BIM allowed the assembly crew on site to work accurately and efficiently. After all, the correct anchor points and drill holes were indicated. All in all, combining practical experience with BIM greatly enhanced the quality and continuity of the construction process and avoided unnecessary failure costs.
